Glassboro High School Students Selected for Musical Honors

GLASSBORO – Glassboro High School students realized great success in competitive musical auditions this school year. As a result, the students have been entertaining audiences throughout the region. The nine students shown above were selected for All South Jersey Honors. Those students (left to right) include: David Wible (All SJ Choir – bass), John Gallo (All SJ Wind Ensemble and All SJ Orchestra and Brass Chamber Ensemble -trumpet), Kaytlynn Capasso (All SJ Symphonic Band and All SJ Saxophone chamber Ensemble - alto saxophone), Sriram Mohanakanthan (All SJ Wind Ensemble - euphonium), Victoria Kuhnel (All SJ Wind Ensemble - clarinet), Cassandra Ferrara (All SJ Choir - soprano), Kendall Appleby (All SJ Symphonic Band - flute), Hannah Appleby-Wineberg (All SJ Choir - soprano), and Allison Ritter (All SJ Choir - soprano).
Many of the All SJ honorees from GHS have already played in “All SJ” concerts held throughout the region this winter. These concerts included the 59th Annual Orchestra and 30th Annual String Ensemble Concert (January 6), the 67th Annual Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Concert (January 13), and the All South Jersey Jr./Sr. High School Choral Concert (January 26 and 27). Still to come is the 6th Annual Chamber Ensemble Festival at Mainland Regional High School on February 14 at 7:30 p.m. Gallo and Capasso will perform in that concert.
Seven of the student honorees are members of the selective Glassboro High School Fine and Performing Arts Academy, including Appleby, Capasso, Gallo, Kuhnel, Mohanakanthan, Ritter and Wible.
