Thomas E. Bowe students received awards at the October 2012 Glassboro Board of Education

THOMAS E. BOWE STUDENTS RECOGNIZED AT OCTOBER BOARD MEETING

      GLASSBORO – Thomas E. Bowe students received awards at the October Board Meeting. Superintendent Mark Silverstein, Ed.D., Principal Kriston Matthews, and Board of Education Pete Calvo recognized the following students:

  • Real Men Read Ambassadors – Seth Carr and Zaki Muhammad
  • Junior National Young Leaders Conference (Washington, D.C.)  attendee – Rena Cuneo
  • Renaissance Citizenship Award winners – Jalen Cook, Mariah Fels, Latesha Fooks, and Anthony Williams.

 

      The district honored the Real Men Read Ambassadors for their dedication to reading and helping younger students in that program.

 

      Sixth-grader Rena Cuneo attended the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. this summer after receiving a recommendation from her 5th grade teacher, Deborah Redfield.  She enjoyed learning more about our country and meeting students from across the United States.

 

      The Renaissance Citizen Award winners were recognized for beautifying Bowe gardens. Their efforts have made a positive impression on school visitors.
