Fingerprinting for Public School Employment 

 

The State of New Jersey has partnered with MorphoTrust to provide livescan fingerprinting for any individuals seeking public school employment. 

 

How to Complete the Fingerprinting Process

1. Download and print the Universal Fingerprinting Form located below. 
This form contains information regarding our district that you will need to provide to MorphoTrust  to ensure that your fingerprint results are returned to our office. 

2. Schedule an appointment for fingerprinting. Appointments may be scheduled with MorphoTrust by phone at (877) 503-5981 or online at www.bioapplicant.com/nj. The cost for the livescan fingerprinting is $66.50 payable by credit/debit card or money order. Payment is required at the time of scheduling.

3. Bring the completed Universal Fingerprinting form, along with identification (please see the acceptable ID requirements listed on the Universal Fingerprinting Form) to your scheduled appointment.

4. Complete the Criminal History Review Process. Please visit the CHRU's website at www.nj.gov./education/educators/crimhist/, therefore providing the State of New Jersey with approval to conduct your background check.

5. On the website, click "File Authorization And Make Electronic Payment For Criminal History Record Check",
and then click "New Administration Fee Request (Initial Applicants)
".

6. There is a $10.00 fee charged by the State of New Jersey for this service, plus an additional $1.00 convenience fee charged by NICUSA. Follow the Instructions on the site, make the $11.00 payment, and submit.


 
PLEASE REMEMBER FINGERPRINT APPROVAL LETTERS ARE ONLY GOOD FOR A FIVE (5) MONTH PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF APPROVAL.
